Minimum Requirements
- Education:
High school graduation or equivalency. - Experience:
6 months’ experience in similar position.
- Physical labor required; lifting more than 50 pounds.
- Valid Arizona Class D Driver’s License upon hire.
The City of Peoria is looking for hard working individuals to fill the Street Maintenance Worker position in the Street Maintenance Unit (Asphalt). Responsibilities include placing hot asphalt for repair, filling potholes, removing obstructions and debris from roadways, providing traffic control, attending trainings, and performing all other assigned tasks. This labor-intensive position requires someone who enjoys working outdoors and can meet the physical demands listed in the job description.
Qualifications- Passion for working outdoors in the elements.
- Working knowledge of basic construction practices.
- Great attitude and ability to work within a team structure and perform solo tasks as required.
