Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals will provide support to individuals with disabilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as hygiene and meal preparation
  • Providing mobility assistance
  • Offering behavioral supports
  • Working in residential settings, day programs, and community/home environments
Qualifications
  • Desire and interest in working with people with disabilities or special needs, with respect for cultural differences
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job
  • Successful completion of background checks with Arizona Central Registry, Arizona Adult Protective Services and Level One Fingerprint Clearance
  • Fluency in other languages (other than English) may be required
  • Reliable transportation to work site and for transporting people, as applicable
  • Access to a telephone
  • Ability to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned
  • 21+ if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle; pass drug test, maintain valid driver’s license, and submit acceptable driving record
  • If personal vehicle is used for transporting people, current auto insurance that meets minimum requirements of RISE insurance policies
