The City of Peoria is seeking a Recreation Leader I for the Adaptive Recreation Division. This position plays a vital role in meeting the needs of the adaptive population in and around Peoria.

As a Recreation Leader I, you will work in various adaptive programs, including but not limited to:

* Special Olympics

* Friday Night Dances

* Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Adult Day Program/Summer Program

The primary responsibilities for candidates hired through this recruitment will include assisting with Friday Night Dances, Special Olympics sports within the Adaptive Recreation Division.

Compensation:

The full hiring range for this position is $16.7398 - $18.8323 per hour.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

* Candidates aged 16 years are allowed, but 18 years of age is preferred.

Experience:

* Must have at least 6 months of volunteer or work experience with individuals with disabilities.

Licenses and

Certifications:

* CPR/First Aid Certificate:

* Must have a current certification or be able to complete training.

* Driver's License:

* Must possess a valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's License upon hire.
