Qualifications- Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card required.
- 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- English language proficiency required to comply with federal law.
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening.
- Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety. Accept responsibility for own safety and that of others.
- Must meet the physical and mental demands described; reasonable accommodations may be made.
- Must see and hear; required vision includes close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
- Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms. Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
- Must legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
