Overview

The Operations Specialist II – Cross-Functional Support role is responsible for providing operational assistance across multiple functional areas, including Property Operations, the Utility Rate Team (URT), and Activity. This position serves as a flexible resource to support business continuity during periods of increased workload, staffing transitions, training initiatives, and employee turnover. The individual in this role will develop proficiency across multiple operational functions and be deployed based on departmental priorities and business needs.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining service levels, billing accuracy, and operational efficiency across supported teams.

Responsibilities Property Operations Support
  • Process and audit a variety of property and resident-related service requests, including assigned and self-selected work queues.
  • Ensure transactions are completed accurately and within established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify and escalated discrepancies or issues requiring additional review.
Utility Rate Team (URT) Support
  • Develop and maintain proficiency within the PURE platform and related systems.
  • Process assigned properties daily in accordance with established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Communicate with utility providers as necessary to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and support billing accuracy.
  • Prepare and process routings, FYIs, profile updates, and other account maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to departmental goals of maintaining 98% billing accuracy.
Activity Billing Support
  • Process resident and property-related account changes within established timelines.
  • Ensure data integrity and billing accuracy for client accounts.
  • Support timely completion of billing-related activities to meet operational deadlines.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and internal departments to expedite issue resolution and support client needs.
  • Assist in achieving departmental performance goals, including on-time pre-bill processing and billing completion targets.
  • Maintain accuracy, quality, and productivity standards across all assigned functions.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and process improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an operational, billing, accounting, analytical, or data-driven environment.
  • Experience working with high-volume transaction processing is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent data entry and data validation skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to identify process improvement opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve issues independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business requirements.
  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications, including job‑related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.

Pay Range

USD $17.84 - USD $30.43 /Hr.
