Staff Accountant

Supports the Sr. Director of Finance in handling the day-to-day accounting operations and manages accounting records, reconciliations, month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Maintain accurate and timely general ledger records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare resident billing and meet with residents to answer invoice questions.
• Assist with annual audits and provide requested schedule and supporting documentation.
• Support the Sr. Director of Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist with accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salary calculations and deductions.
• Support the Sr. Director of Finance in managing all financial reporting and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Performs other such duties as may be assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping or finance experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations and payroll laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems (e.g., Quick Books, Paylocity).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to patiently serve others with kindness and compassion.
