ELECTIONS STAFF - Interested in the electoral process? Looking for a great internship opportunity? Look no further. The Peoria County Election Commission is in search of an intern to help with the day-to-day operations of the office for the 2026 Election Cycle.

Internship Opportunity for 2026 General Election

* Dates:
August 24, 2026 - November 20, 2026 (13 weeks)

* Election Day:
November 3, 2026

Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen and have a valid driver's license. A high school diploma or equivalent, and be a college student (graduating seniors may still apply) Able to work 15 hours per week and can lift 20 lbs.
• Must work all of election day (5 am to 9 pm)

Duties:
Maintain voter registration database. Prepare voting equipment and supplies. Assist with vote by mail processing. Work with the public in providing information concerning election and registration information. Correspond with election judges regarding scheduling and training. Complete data entry with the utmost accuracy and answer phone calls from voters, election judges, and the general public.
