This role assists visitors in the office, answers phones, answers questions and educates taxpayers on the process of appealing and exemptions available along with the qualifications for them.
Responsibilities- Greeting and assisting customers and patrons upon entering the office.
- Assisting taxpayers in the process of appealing and with paperwork needed for exemptions.
- Directing people to the correct department.
- Answering telephones, responding to visitors, directing them or assisting them with the functions of our office, appeals, exemptions, etc.
- Must be able to handle difficult people.
- Time management.
- Organizational skills.
- Focus on details.
- Filing neatly and orderly.
- Putting things in numeric order.
- Use of Microsoft Office.
- Dealing with unhappy customers in a calm manner and educating them on exemptions and the Real Estate tax process.
- Listening skills,
communication skills. - Good phone etiquette.
- Good customer service.
- Patience with the public.
