Overview
Must be enrolled as a student at Methodist College to be considered. To provide assistance to the Director of Library Services and students.
Responsibilities- All Federal Work Study employees are required to complete 5 hours of communication service during the Fall and Spring Terms.
- Assists patrons both in person and on the phone.
- Refers patrons to librarian when unable to answer questions.
- Uses good telephone skills when answering the hone, taking messages, or finding information for patrons.
- Performs basic circulation duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Shelves books using the National Library of Medicine classification system.
- Maintains the cleanliness, orderly and security of the Library.
- Maintains an accurate statistical log of patron use of the library.
- Troubleshoots problems with computers, copy machine, circulation system, etc.
- Provides clerical support when needed.
- Assists with orientation of new Library student workers.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned or required.

Salary Range15 per hour - 24.32 per hour. The compensation range for this position is $15 per hour - $24.32 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
