Master Service Technician

Bob Loquercio Auto Group is seeking an experienced Master Service Technician to join our high-performing Service Department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled technician who thrives on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and delivering exceptional workmanship.

Candidates must possess a minimum of two current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications. Additional ASE certifications, Master Technician status, or manufacturer certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems including engines, transmissions, drivability, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics using manufacturer-specific software and electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete repairs accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation and repair quality.
  • Communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations with Service Advisors.
  • Mentor and assist apprentice and fellow technicians when needed.
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Stay current on manufacturer training, technical service bulletins, and evolving automotive technologies.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two current ASE Certifications required.
  • ASE Master Technician Certification strongly preferred.
  • Previous automotive dealership experience required.
  • Manufacturer certifications are a plus.
  • Proven expertise in advanced diagnostics and complex automotive repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate advanced electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Professional attitude with leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces.
  • Strong fine and gross motor skills to safely operate tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying lighting conditions and utilize digital diagnostic equipment.
