Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of complex models to produce unbiased and objective short‑term and long‑term US and global revenue forecasts for in‑market products and programs beyond DP3
- Implement a variety forecast approaches to triangulate opportunity assessments, address key business questions, and evaluate risk factors
- Identify key inputs for forecasting models, and work cross‑functionally to identify sources of insight
- Responsible for synthesis and presentation of forecast and strategic implications in a timely manner to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with analytics and market research to understand the performance versus forecast—and continuously fine‑tune forecast assumptions
- Lead alignment of key stakeholders on the appropriate source of insights for each forecast assumption
- Provide revenue forecasts on an annual basis as input for key corporate processes
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to translate demand forecasts to appropriate production and stock‑keeping schedules
- Develop new forecast models for pipeline programs to help prioritize clinical investments
- Develop requests for proposals, solicit competitive bids, and award contracts to outside forecast and commercial data partners
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 7 years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
- Understanding of drug pharmaceutical development and commercialization process, as well as industry competitive dynamics
- Demonstrated success defining business information and insight needs and translating those to specific deliverables; understanding of biopharmaceutical commercial market data sources
- Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
- Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and collaborate with teams through complex and challenging cross‑functional projects
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, and pharma industry guidelines
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort with senior management and knowledge of senior management thought processes; ability to speak their language and address their needs.
