Position SummaryThe Project Manager leads complex, multi-million-dollar projects from preconstruction through closeout. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing project teams, subcontractors, budgets, and client relationships while delivering unmatched quality on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead preconstruction activities including estimating, scoping, scheduling, and GMP development
- Manage project financials: budgets, job cost reporting, pay applications, and change orders
- Negotiate, award, and administer subcontracts and vendor agreements
- Partner with Site Superintendents on field operations, quality control, and safety compliance
- Serve as the client contact and maintain strong owner/architect/engineer relationships
- Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Mentor junior project staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5-8+ years of construction project management experience; 2+ years at the PM level
- Experience managing projects $10M+; $25M+ strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Chicago market experience preferred; familiarity with City permitting and PBC processes a plus
