Salary Range: $11.25 To $11.25 Annually

The Office of Alumni Relations is seeking an organized and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Student Worker. In this flexible role, you will provide essential event support for Alumni Relations programming, contributing to the success of events through both pre-program preparation and on-site assistance. This position offers the opportunity to be actively involved in engaging with alumni and assisting with a variety of events throughout the year.

The position requires an average commitment of 5-10 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters, with hours varying based on event schedules.

Responsibilities
:

  • Preparing event materials and fulfilling ‘event pack lists’ to ensure all items are accounted for
  • Creating engaging social media posts (IG, FB, LI) by utilizing a scheduling tool
  • Help manage BU Alumni Social content Calendar
  • Assisting with event setup and breakdown, including greeting guests, utilizing digital check-in tools (On Arrival), and supporting event logistics that could include working evenings and weekends.
  • Managing inventory of alumni giveaways, promotional items, and door prizes, ensuring they are well-maintained and organized for distribution
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory, including event swag and materials
  • Assembling event materials such as grad fair bags, including alumni license plates and b-shield pins
  • Assisting with any other duties as needed to support Alumni Relations events

Additional Responsibilities
:

  • Create print and/or digital event promotional materials for Alumni Relations programs and other local partners as needed
  • Contributing to the online promotion of events through the creation of engaging social media content

Requirements
:
Full time student and can pass a physical assessment (lifting 40lb box and other movements needed to work proficiently)
