Unpaid Intern

Overview

WMBD/WYZZ Peoria-Bloomington, IL area is seeking motivated and enthusiastic college students for an internship in our News Department. We are committed to developing the next generation of media and digital journalists.

• Understanding how news media works across TV, digital, and streaming platforms
• Receiving constructive feedback on progress throughout the internship
• Developing content for both online and on-air
• Learning the importance of collaboration between talent and production teams
• Gaining professional communication and presentation skills in a media setting

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Communication, Business, Media, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
• Allowed to receive academic credit for the internship
• Available 10-20 hours per week for the duration of the semester

This internship is unpaid and must be completed for college credit. Candidates should have reliable transportation.
