About the Position
Wellhart is seeking a Physician specializing in Urology Surgery for a locum tenens position in Illinois. This 27-day assignment begins on 12/26/2025, and primarily involves weekend coverage for pediatric urology cases. The schedule typically runs from Friday 8:00 AM through Sunday 6:00 PM, with occasional extensions to Monday 8:00 AM. The physician will provide inpatient and call coverage, focusing on pediatric urology cases in a Trauma center.

There may be opportunities for weekday clinic coverage to support provider PTO. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with pediatric urology and may collaborate with Pediatric Surgery depending on case type and schedule. Proficiency in Epic EHR is required. This position offers the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide inpatient and call coverage for pediatric urology cases

• Ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality care

• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards

• Maintain clear communication with healthcare team members and patients

• Provide weekday clinic coverage as needed to support provider PTO
