Job Summary: The Physical Education (PE) Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons for students in grades 6 through 12. The teacher will promote physical fitness, healthy habits, sportsmanship, and lifelong physical activity while aligning instruction with state and national standards. This role requires a strong understanding of adolescent development, differentiated instruction, and safety protocols in physical activity settings.

Principal/Asst. Principal
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver sequential, standards-based PE lessons for middle and high school students.
- Develop and implement activities that promote motor skills, fitness development, team sports, and individual sports.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports students of all skill levels and physical abilities.
- Teach students about the importance of physical activity, health, nutrition, and overall wellness.
- Organize and supervise games, sports, fitness testing, and other physical activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Manage equipment inventory and ensure a safe, clean, and organized gym or athletic environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and administrators to support student success.
- Uphold safety protocols and respond to injuries or emergencies in accordance with school procedures.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, parent conferences, and school events.
- Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner, and encourages students.
- Designs, implements, and evaluates learning experiences that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Encourages and motivates the students in their learning.
- Maintains accurate and complete records.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the health and safety of students, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Prepares for assigned classes and establishes clear objectives for instruction.
