About the RoleSt. Jude Catholic School is currently seeking a Part‑Time interventionist to inspire and educate students in faith and academics. Our school has implemented a Multi‑Tiered System of Supports to meet each student's unique needs, academically, socially and spiritually. This team member will work as part of a tightly‑coordinated collaborative team to implement interventions in small groups or individually. We are seeking someone who sees each young person's unique dignity and is committed to helping each young person to grow and blossom in his or her uniqueness.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver dynamic intervention lessons that meet curriculum guidelines and address the needs of diverse learners.
- Use student data from testing, progress monitoring, communication, and observation to determine student needs.
- Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and activities. Treat young people and coworkers with dignity.
- Foster a positive culture where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve their best.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress through various assessment tools and provide feedback to guide learning.
- Work closely with fellow interventionists, classroom teachers, parents, and administration to ensure student success.
- Stay current with educational best practices and participate in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy machine, and telephone. Able to use Google Classroom and ability to learn other digital platforms.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work HazardsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently move, stand, and lift up to 10 pounds, as well as be able to walk up and down steps several times each day and physically respond quickly in an emergency.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Education
- State teaching certification
- Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of Catholic education
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with interventions
- Certifications and trainings related to providing services for students with needs
- A background in Math education
- Experience working in a faith‑based educational setting

CompensationSalary Range: $15-18.50 per hour
