The Medical Assistant Program seeks adjunct faculty to teach Medical Assisting courses. Day and evening courses available. Adjunct faculty adhere to accreditation standards, align education with teaching and learning best practices, assess student learning and skill competence, evaluate learning experiences, and remain consistent with the institutional syllabus. Additionally, adjuncts maintain office hours to support student success and teach part‑time up to 12 contact hours per semester.

Courses may continue into future semesters if available.

• Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab‑based classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available and safety standards are met.
• Follow syllabi for assigned courses and communicate expectations and schedules.
• Maintain office hours and availability for students.
• Communicate with students to ensure success.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve student experience.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Two (2) years of clinical experience in a medical office practice as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Current Illinois license as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Three or more years of clinical experience.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Community college experience.
