Preschool Aide (Part-Time)
Position Overview
St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and faith-filled Preschool Aide to support our early childhood classroom on a part-time basis. The Preschool Aide will assist the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment rooted in Catholic values and traditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist the preschool teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Support children during learning centers, playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Supervise students to ensure safety and positive behavior
- Encourage social, emotional, spiritual, and academic development
- Participate in school activities, prayer, and Catholic traditions as appropriate
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff and parents
- Follow all school policies and child safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children preferred
- Supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education
- Warm, patient, and dependable with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check and safe environment training required before employment
- Part-time position
- School-year schedule
- Hours may vary based on classroom needs
- $16.00/hr
