Part-Time Middle School Classroom Teacher

Are you a former educator or experienced homeschool parent who loves the energy of middle schoolers but wants the flexibility of a 2-day work week? We are seeking a versatile classroom leader to teach core subjects in a faith-based environment – no grueling 5-day public school grind required.

You will be providing interesting lecture, project-based learning, and engaging lessons using established Christian curriculum while including the Biblical worldview in each subject area: literature/English/spelling, mathematics, general science, and humanities/history.

Please note:

private tutoring or 1-on-1 coaching experience alone does not meet the qualifications for this classroom teaching role.

We are a faith-based institution and require agreement with our Statement of Faith.

• Create and deliver dynamic lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Provide support to students who require additional assistance by implementing innovative teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
• Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal development.

• Born‑again Christian who loves the Lord, is active in a local church, loves children.
• Proven experience in teaching.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of curriculum development principles and educational best practices.
• Proficiency in literacy education and numeracy skills development.
• Ability to calculate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
