Job Description:
Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite position in the Hanover Park, IL area. This role will focus on serving an elementary school caseload and is available for the school year, with interviews happening ASAP.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various subjects, adapting materials and methods to acmodate different learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the necessary acmodations and modifications.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to promote success.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that fosters students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and municate regularly with parents and guardians.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Illinois Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong munication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
