Key

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid special education teaching certification
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Experience working with students in elementary grade levels, specifically 4th and 5th grade
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to modify curriculum and differentiate instruction
• Collaborative mindset for working with staff, families, and support professionals

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and adapt lesson plans aligned to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment for 4th and 5th grade students
• Conduct assessments and track student progress toward educational goals
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, specialists, and parents/guardians
• Provide direct instruction and adapt materials to meet a variety of learning needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-centered learning goals
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and district requirements
