Mechatronics Engineer

Komatsu is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to support off-highway vehicle design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in electrical design, 3D modeling, and technical documentation, and will work closely with cross-functional and offshore teams to deliver high-quality electrical system designs.

• Design and develop electrical systems for off-highway vehicles
• Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and diagrams based on design specifications
• Develop 3D models for enclosure assemblies, installations, harnesses, and cable routing
• Translate rough sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions into accurate drawings
• Produce flattened production drawings with proper 2D–3D associations
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and regulations
• Collaborate with operations teams to identify and resolve drawing-related issues
• Work closely with design engineers to clarify design intent and implement changes
• Modify and revise drawings based on design updates and feedback
• Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and related manufacturing documentation
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to confirm component locations and electrical fitment (brackets, trays, enclosures, etc.)
• Maintain accurate design records and organize drawings systematically
• Collaborate effectively with offshore teams and support global design efforts

• 5–7 years of experience in electrical design for off-highway or heavy equipment vehicles
• Strong proficiency in Solid Works and AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience with electrical harness design, cable routing, and enclosure modeling
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global team environment

• B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
