We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic entry-level Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead on assigned projects, collaborating directly with clients to design customized low- and medium-voltage switch gear and control solutions that meet their specific technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret project documentation, customer specifications, drawings, and related correspondence
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Collaborate with purchasing teams and suppliers to specify and approve components and assemblies
- Prepare AC and DC schematics, wiring diagrams, component layouts, and one-line diagrams for submittals, construction drawings, and as-built documentation
- Complete detailed project designs in accordance with customer specifications
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and codes, including NFPA, NEC, and UL (UL891, UL1558, UL Medium Voltage, UL508A)
- Work closely with production, testing, and field service teams to support design decisions throughout each project phase
- Coordinate with programmers for hardware selection and system integration
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies for project applications
- Develop and document standardized design processes
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and testing departments
- Conduct design reviews to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Entry-level position; internship experience is preferred but not required
- Solid understanding of electrical circuit design principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Works
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Basic knowledge of power systems analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Exposure to switch gear design or implementation is a plus
- Understanding of basic project management principles
