The Automation Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & have the ability to meet company objectives within the time lines specifically related to your assigned projects
- Conduct Robot Configurations and complete Automated set points for assigned projects and equipment using Various Robots and software.
- Ability to creates design solutions for automation requests in many different manufacturing categories.
- Assists engineers in developing and designing fixtures and robotic end of arm tooling required for all automation solutions per specifications.
- Requires the ability to design individual parts and complete assemblies in 3D modeling workspace such as Solid Works, Creo, etc.
- Ability to create cell/robotic simulations using Robo guide or equivalent software.
- Understands the manufacturing process, automation process, and is capable to conduct feasibility studies in regards to.
- Develop technical manuals, drawings, models, training documents, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshoot guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
- Interface with a variety of automated equipment and drive controls solutions to eliminate defects improve cycle times, reduce machine downtime
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment.
- A strong digital logic understanding
- Trains other technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment.
- Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment
- Travel Requirement up to 30%
B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent, Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, as well as robotic programming for production and manufacturing Operations using FANUC, UR, and/ABB robots.
