Warehouse Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Engineer to support warehouse operations, material flow optimization, and supply chain planning initiatives within a manufacturing and distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in industrial engineering, logistics planning, facility layout optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.

This is an onsite role based in Peoria, Illinois supporting warehouse and supply chain operations for large-scale manufacturing environments.

• Analyze and optimize warehouse operations, material flow, and storage utilization to improve operational efficiency.
• Support supply chain planning and logistics engineering initiatives across warehouse and distribution environments.
• Develop and maintain facility layouts, warehouse flow diagrams, and process documentation using AutoCAD and related tools.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Create and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part) documentation and material handling strategies.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, production, and operations teams to improve warehouse processes and throughput.
• Evaluate inventory movement, storage systems, and material handling equipment to optimize warehouse performance.
• Support warehouse capacity planning, line-side delivery strategies, and process standardization initiatives.
• Participate in process improvement studies, root cause analysis, and operational optimization projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards within warehouse environments.

• Experience as a Warehouse Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Logistics Engineer, or Supply Chain Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, material flow, and logistics planning.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with facility planning and warehouse layout design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar layout/design tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining PFEP documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process improvement skills.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.

• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, or distribution industries.
• Exposure to warehouse automation and material handling systems.
• Familiarity with inventory control, ERP/WMS systems, and warehouse optimization tools.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or industrial engineering methodologies is a plus.
