We are partnering with a highly respected, stable manufacturing company in the Springfield, IL area seeking an Engineering Manager with a strong CNC machining background to help lead engineering initiatives, improve manufacturing performance, and support a growing operation.
This is not a role where you’ll sit in meetings all day disconnected from production.

Base salary up to $135K
, depending on experience, plus strong overall compensation and long‑term career opportunity.
- Lead engineering efforts supporting CNC machining and manufacturing operations
- Improve manufacturing processes, cycle times, tooling, fixturing, and efficiency
- Partner with production, quality, and operations teams to solve problems and drive results
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve throughput and reduce waste
- Help develop manufacturing strategies that improve performance and scalability
- Serve as a technical resource for machining‑related engineering challenges
- Engineering or manufacturing background with strong CNC machining experience
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or CNC‑focused environments
- Experience supporting machining operations, tooling, fixturing, GD&T, or process optimization
- Leadership experience or desire to grow into a larger leadership role
- Someone who enjoys being close to the manufacturing floor and solving problems
