Job Description
Step into Leadership as a Discipline Lead - Mechanical at Dewberry in Peoria. In this role you will be responsible for delivering project commitments, managing resources, providing engineering support to Project/Client Managers, and assisting with MEP sales and multidiscipline projects.
Key Required Skills- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer credential with 10+ years of experience
- Design experience of MEP systems
- Understanding of plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems and their cost and space requirements
- Lead discipline team, grow, mentor, and develop staff
- Plan and assign project priorities, deliver due dates, and forecast workload
- Participate in go/no‑go decisions and in developing fee proposals and budgets
- Ensure adherence to design schedules, project budgets, and department standards
- Provide updates on project status and deliverability to project/ client managers
- Recruit staff, manage responsibilities, and maintain tools and workflow
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer with 10+ years experience
- Knowledge of construction process and AIA construction contracts
- Self‑motivated and strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication
- Experience managing staff and departments
- Well organized, takes good notes
- Good conceptual understanding of plumbing, mechanical & electrical systems

Projected salary range: $154,000‑$198,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, location and market conditions.
