Controls Technician

Productive Resources () is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in East Peoria, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a skilled Controls Technician with a broad technical background including PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, robotics, hardware selection and interfacing with a preferred 5+ years of experience. The successful candidate will possess a diverse set of skills and interests and will serve on multiple project teams.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

• Develop PLC and HMI SCADA programs using industry-standard programming languages to control machinery and processes.
• Establishing communications between devices.
• Interfacing with sensors and actuators.
• Interfacing with industrial and collaborative robots.
• Use of communication busses such as CAN, IO-Link , DH+, Ether Net/IP.
• Ability to find suitable replacements for obsolete hardware.

• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Diverse interests and skill set, with an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to handle onsite support.
• Familiarity with code compliance.
• Experience controlling hydraulic systems.
• Experience controlling mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of control theory, PID tuning, and stability analysis.
• Knowledge of a variety of feedback devices.
• Experience with a variety of controls hardware.

• EPLAN experience.
