Job Description
Join our dynamic Supplier Design Valve Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will support the development and lifecycle management of hydraulic valves used on large Resource Industries equipment. This position requires collaboration with external suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept to production and field support.

Responsibilities- Develop and define technical requirements for hydraulic valve systems.
- Collaborate closely with external suppliers on valve design and development.
- Support the full product lifecycle: requirements definition, concept development, validation and testing, production implementation, quality/field issue resolution, and end‑of‑life support.
- Partner with internal teams, including hydraulic system engineers, product groups, and simulation/analysis teams.
- Engage with global stakeholders and participate in occasional off‑hours meetings.
- Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously and prioritize deliverables.
- Analyze technical data and provide engineering recommendations and decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–4 years of engineering experience or a Master’s degree with approximately 1 year of relevant experience (internship/co‑op included).
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical concepts.
- Project management and prioritization skills.
- Comfortable operating in a highly technical, multi‑project environment.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical thinking and engineering judgment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to hydraulic systems or components.
- Experience working with suppliers or external engineering partners.
- Project management experience in an engineering setting.
- Basic proficiency with Creo (advanced modeling not required).
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude.
The role is onsite in Mossville with limited flexibility and minimal travel (0–25%). The work environment is highly technical and requires interaction with global stakeholders, occasionally necessitating off‑hours meetings. The position involves working on multiple projects simultaneously, demanding strong prioritization skills.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Peoria, IL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 – $38.00/hr.
