We’re seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer who thrives in complex, highly regulated environments and enjoys solving challenging engineering problems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to major nuclear and DOE-related projects where precision, safety, and technical excellence are paramount.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced structural analysis and design for concrete and steel systems used in nuclear and DOE facility environments.
- Conduct seismic evaluations, structural modeling, and load-path verification for critical structures and components.
- Prepare calculation packages, design documentation, and technical reports to support regulatory and safety requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with nuclear codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS and PE license strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in structural engineering, ideally within nuclear, DOE, or similarly regulated industries.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and seismic modeling.
- Strong knowledge of steel and concrete design principles and relevant industry codes.
- Previous experience performing seismic studies and dynamic structural evaluations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, defensible engineering documentation.
- PE License preferred
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
