CNC Fabrication Engineer
Location:
Peoria, Illinois
Seeking a CNC Fabrication Engineer with strong CNC machining and fixture design experience to support automated welding work cells and manufacturing operations. The role involves CNC programming, fixture development, process improvement, and collaboration with automation teams.
Key Responsibilities- Program and operate CNC machines (Haas, Mazak, DMG, and similar).
- Develop and optimize CNC G‑Code/NC Code using Mastercam.
- Design fixtures, jigs, end‑of‑arm tooling, and build components using Solid Works.
- Support automated welding cell development, validation, and system integration.
- Create and maintain mechanical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Train technicians and operators on equipment and processes.
- Support manufacturing builds and continuous process improvements.
- Travel up to 20% for client site integration activities.
- CNC Machining and CNC Programming
- G‑Code, NC Code, Mastercam
- Fixture, Jig, and Tooling Design
- Solid Works 3D Modeling and CAD
- Mechanical Drawing Interpretation
- Manufacturing and Production Support
- CNC Machinist Certification, Technical Degree, or Engineering Degree
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or engineering environments
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, DMG, or similar CNC machining centers
- 5-axis/6-axis CNC programming experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
