Join Komatsu and be part of something big! Mechanical Engineer with experience in design, development, and testing of wheel motors used in off-highway vehicles such as construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and mining trucks.
Key Job Responsibilities- Design and Development: 8+ years' experience designing drive trains for off-highway vehicles. Utilize CAD software to create detailed design specifications and drawings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
- Testing and Validation:
Conduct simulations and physical tests to validate wheel motor and drivetrain performance. Analyze test data and make necessary design adjustments. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Project Management:
Manage project timelines and deliverables. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source components. Oversee the production and assembly of prototypes. - Technical Support:
Strong background in gearing and bearing concepts. Provide technical support to manufacturing and service teams. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to wheel motor performance. Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Previous experience in motor design, preferably in the off-highway vehicle industry.
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of motor control systems and power electronics. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Hiring Range:
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
