Mechanical Design Engineer

Join a global engineering team and help design critical drivetrain components used across a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong Creo design experience to support the Drivetrain Castings Component Team as an Axle Housing Design Engineer.

• Create and modify 3D models and component designs using Creo.
• Support concept development, design validation, and engineering analysis activities.
• Perform stress and fatigue/life analysis on mechanical components.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Assess part non-conformance risks and support product improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, suppliers, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-4 years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Strong proficiency in Creo 3D Modeling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical prints.
• Working knowledge of GD&T principles.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Creo Simulate or FEA tools.
• Steel or iron casting design experience.
• APQP knowledge.
• Manufacturing or heavy equipment industry experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on engineering exposure.
• 100% onsite position in East Peoria, IL.
• Work closely with experienced design engineers in a collaborative team environment.
• Exposure to manufacturing, assembly, quality, and supplier interactions.
