Overview

Caterpillar’s Earthmoving Division (EMD), has an open Accountant position for the Caterpillar Medium Wheel Loader product group. Medium Wheel Loader leverages the power of data, people and process of the extended Caterpillar enterprise to deliver customer value. In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting for New Product Introduction.

What You Will Do
  • Perform complex investment analysis and advise others (both accountants and non-accountants)
  • Determine Net Present Value (NPV) & Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for complex projects
  • NPI support including future cost, should cost, alternative analyses and strategy
  • NPI OPACC determination & analysis
  • Presentation and explanation of results to business resources and product group management
  • Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements
What Skills & Experiences You Will Need
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
    Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking:
    Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Effective Communications:
    Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities:
    Knowledge of effective self‑management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Accounting:
    Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Reporting:
    Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
Additional Info

This position will be located in Peoria, IL.

This role is full‑time and requires 5 days a week in the office.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify.

Summary Pay Range

$97,530.00 - $
