Corporate Controller

Our client is a rapidly scaling, private equity-backed services organization that has achieved exceptional growth through a combination of organic expansion, strategic acquisitions, and new market development. With operations spanning dozens of locations nationwide, the company is entering its next phase of growth and investing heavily in the people, processes, and systems required to support a substantially larger enterprise.

To support this evolution, the company is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as a key member of the finance organization. Reporting to senior finance leadership, this individual will assume ownership of core accounting operations, monthly close, financial reporting, inventory and cost accounting, balance sheet integrity, and process improvement initiatives across a complex multi-location operating environment.

The successful candidate will help professionalize accounting processes, improve reporting accuracy and visibility, strengthen inventory and operational accounting disciplines, and build scalable infrastructure capable of supporting continued growth and acquisition activity.

• Lead and improve the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger integrity, and financial statement preparation
• Develop and enhance inventory, materials, and cost accounting processes
• Improve location-level reporting consistency and operational visibility across a multi-site platform
• Partner closely with finance, operations, and executive leadership on process improvement initiatives
• Support acquisition integration activities and accounting standardization efforts
• Assist in building scalable systems, controls, and reporting infrastructure to support future growth

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience combining public accounting and industry experience
• Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership experience
• Experience with in a multi-site operating environment is required
• Strong general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet ownership experience
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, materials accounting, or operational accounting is required
• Proven ability to operate in a high-growth, hands-on, rapidly changing environment
• Strong systems aptitude and process improvement mindset
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership
