CFO – State & Local Government

• Lead the growing State & Local Government (CAAS) practice in Central Illinois
• Implement strategic initiatives to grow the team and scale outsourcing operations
• Partner with client leadership on operational and strategic issues
• Provide recommendations based on financial analysis of projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis
• Monitor budget progress and present operational metrics
• Develop full knowledge of GAAP and financial and operational aspects of specific industries
• Ensure financial staff maintains financial records according to appropriate principles
• Monitor use of funds
• Manage cash flow and forecasting
• Direct financial accounting
• Manage capital planning and risk management
• Interact with boards of directors
• Manage multiple client engagements
• Build strong client relationships and become a key member of client management teams

• Bachelor's degree is required; combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree
• 8 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required
• Experience in State & Local Government is required
• Experience using personal and professional networks for business development
• Proven record of building and managing teams through growth
• CPA is highly preferred but not required
• Frequent local travel to/from client sites
• Occasional non-local or overnight travel may be required for client visits, training, meetings, and other business-related purposes

Demonstrates expertise in financial analysis, budget management, and GAAP principles while leading teams in the State & Local Government sector. Proven ability to build client relationships and manage multiple engagements effectively.
