Courts - Adult Probation Officer
The adult Probation Officer is responsible for all duties as described in Chapter 730, Illinois Compiled Statutes, Act 110, Section 12 providing investigation, casework, supervision, and monitoring of all probationers assigned by the Unit Supervisor and reporting any case progress to the Court as requested. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college/university with studies in related Criminal Justice fields.
A resident of the State of Illinois within 90 days of the date of his/her appointment. Certified eligible for employment as a Non-Supervisor Probation Officer by the Supreme Court of Illinois-Division of Probation Services and placement on the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts non-supervisory eligibility list. Previous work experience in probation, court services, criminal justice, and/or social service is desired.
General knowledge of data entry and computer operations required. Valid Illinois driver's license. Otherwise generally qualified as provided by law of rule of the court
