Clinical Research Billing Analyst

Mainly Remote but will require onsite work once a quarter.

The Clinical Research Billing Analyst I supports the financial management of clinical trials within a regulated healthcare research environment. This role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing study budgets and Medicare Coverage Analyses (MCA) to ensure accurate billing and compliance with applicable regulations. The Analyst partners with research, finance, and operational teams during study start-up and throughout the study lifecycle to align financial activity with protocol requirements.

Additional responsibilities include managing industry and grant funds, preparing invoices, monitoring study revenue and cash flow, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing guidance to research staff on billing processes and compliance standards. This position also supports financial reporting, process improvement initiatives, and quality assurance efforts to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare, clinical research, finance/accounting, or business operations
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology

• Experience with Medicare Coverage Analysis, clinical trial budgeting, or research billing
• Familiarity with clinical research regulations (IRB, FDA, GCP)
• Experience with CTMS, research EMR systems, or revenue cycle processes
• Knowledge of research-related coding, invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, or financial reporting
• Research-related certification preferred

$69K-$82K (Dependent on background and years of experience)
