Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 20-week acute care contract at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring proficiency with GE MRI scanners and Epic EMR.
Responsibilities- Acute care hospital setting within a dedicated MRI department, serving outpatient, inpatient, and ED patient populations
- Level I Trauma Center
- GE MRI scanners used, including 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W) units
- Epic used for EMR and charting
- 12-hour night shifts, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
- One weekend shift required per month
- Holiday coverage may be required
- One MRI Tech assistant is available per 8-hour shift to support operations
- Orientation is approximately 1 week, depending on familiarity with GE scanner equipment
- Standard solid-colored scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
- Visible tattoos must be covered while on assignment
- No call or standby requirements
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required for this position
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA), ARRT (R)(MR) certifications required — certifications must be active at time of consideration, pending certifications are not accepted
- Active IL license required if applicable — pending licensure will not be accepted
- Proficiency with GE MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T), MRI safety guidelines, and standard MRI acquisition sequences
- Ability to start IVs
- 2 references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Must be able to pass a drug screen — facility is a Drug-Free Campus
