Ultrasound Tech
Shift: Days – 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–4:00 PM; start time may vary between 7:00–8:30 AM)
Performs routine and specialized ultrasound exams using independent judgment to obtain accurate diagnostic results under radiologist direction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound exams for patients of all ages
- Capture required anatomy/pathology views
- Enhance image quality using appropriate transducers/settings
- Assist with biopsies and set up sterile trays
- Prepare and educate patients for procedures
- Assess abdominal arterial & venous systems with color imaging
- Troubleshoot and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Ensure timely image processing and documentation
- Support QA/QC/QI programs
- Maintain patient flow and accurate HIS documentation
- Assist radiologists with biopsies
- Order labs/pathology under radiologist direction
- Maintain clean and stocked work areas
- Support and mentor technologists/students
