Expected pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.89/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

The Patient Transport & Lift Team Specialist performs patient transports, transfers, lifts and repositions using the appropriate patient lifting equipment and safe patient handling policies and procedures. Picks up and delivers inpatients and patient care items between patient care units and other ancillary departments. In doing so, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of patient lifting equipment along with maintaining proper hygiene of the slings and lifting/transportation equipment on each unit. May assist with employee education and training of patient lifting equipment and transfer techniques when indicated.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be 18 years old to be considered for position.
• Basic understanding of communication equipment such as pagers, phones and computers.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
