American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care setting, requiring ARRT (MR) certification and hands‑on experience with GE MRI scanners.

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level 1 Trauma designation
• MRI department serving outpatient, inpatient, and ED patient populations
• GE MRI scanners used, including 1.5T (450W) and 3T (750W)
• Charting system:
  Epic
• MRI Tech Assistant support available — 1 assistant per 8‑hour shift
• 8‑hour shifts with start times at 6:00 AM, 2:00 PM, or 10:00 PM
• 1 weekend per month required
• Holiday coverage may be required
• No on‑call or standby requirement
• May float to cover outpatient, inpatient, and ED areas

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT (RTR, MR) certifications required — active at time of consideration, pending certifications not accepted
• Active IL license required if applicable — pending licensure not accepted
• Proficiency with GE MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T)
• Knowledge of MRI safety guidelines and standard acquisition sequences
• IV insertion skills required
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

• Perform MRI scans for outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients using GE 1.5T and 3T scanners
• Responsible for IV placement and contrast administration as part of MRI procedures
• Orientation is approximately 1 week, with duration dependent on familiarity with GE scanner equipment
• Solid‑colored scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Tattoos must be covered while on shift
• This is a drug‑free campus; a negative drug screen is required
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• No radius rule applies for eligibility consideration
