American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Medical/Respiratory unit (7C) position requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and an Illinois RN license.

• Hospital medical/respiratory unit (7C) setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• English proficiency (speak, read, write) required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Responsible for managing a designated patient group using the nursing process, including completing admissions assessments and developing, implementing, and modifying individualized care plans
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation to support the healthcare team
• Contributes to a culture of safety by identifying and reporting hazards and incidents
• Engages in peer collaboration and professional development, including offering constructive feedback and identifying personal learning opportunities
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for one year must take a 6-month break before returning
