Physical Therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands‑on care, patient education and prescribed movement. Our Physical therapists work as a team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and abilities. In this position with Presbyterian’s Outpatient rehabilitation department clinicians will treat a variety of patients and work with a group of therapists that have a range in specialties.
The Outpatient rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient‑focused. We place a strong emphasis on providing orientation and mentorship to ensure the well‑being and success of our new team members. Join a team committed to improving the health of our communities.
- Evaluate patients, develop plans and goals, and implement treatment programs for improvement of physical or developmental dysfunction and independence in activities of daily living.
- Continuously reassess treatment plans and goals.
- Educate and instruct regarding home programs and preventive measures as appropriate to patient, family, and others.
- Prepare written documentation as required by the profession and the department in a timely manner.
- Communicate with patient, family, physician, and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Participate in educational programs, in‑services and other meetings as required.
- Participate on special project teams and other related duties as assigned and requested.
- Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.
- New graduates encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
- New Mexico license of physical therapy required.
- BLS required at time of hire.
