The organization is seeking an Inpatient Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Peoria, Illinois. The position involves providing specialized speech therapy within a level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The candidate will assess and intervene with medically complex preterm infants, focusing heavily on feeding and swallowing. Candidates must bring their Illinois licensure on the first day of employment.

• Required Qualifications:
  
  Masters degree, active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated, temporary state license with supervision of a licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months, or a temporary license while completing a Clinical Fellowship Year;
  Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Previous NICU experience with a focus on feeding of preterm and medically complex infants; experience as a Speech Pathologist; valid state driver's license evidenced through driving record.
• Responsibilities include assessing feeding and swallowing, conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress in a neuro-protective, trauma-informed, and family-centered care model.
• Equipment utilized: EPIC electronic charting system.
• Fluency in documentation practices using EPIC is required.
• Floating to other units or departments is unlikely but may be considered for those with PICU experience.
• Dress Code:

  The position is within a 65-bed NICU. Candidates are required to submit the last four digits of their SSN, their middle initial, and confirm active Illinois licensure or initiation of licensure process. Candidates must also understand that OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and must produce a negative drug screen for all panels.
