Job Summary:
Peoria, Illinois Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist. This position involves working in a busy cath lab performing scrubbing, hemodynamic monitoring, and circulating procedures. The role requires prior cath lab experience and provides rotational weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts to support patient care around the clock.
Job Details:
- Schedule:
10-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, minimum of 40 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
Active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated, certification in ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), BLS (Basic Life Support); minimum of 2 years of experience. - Certifications:
ARRT, BLS. - Department:
Cath Lab; the unit performs approximately 10 to 15 cases daily. - Common diagnoses/types of patients:
Cardiovascular procedures in a dedicated cath lab setting, separate from IR and EP units. - Job Duties:
Scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, circulating. - Experience or 'Must have' skills:
Previous cath lab experience; pediatric experience and McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required. - EMR/Equipment: EPIC, PACS, McKesson.
- On-call requirements:
On call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a response time of 30 minutes upon page. - Call responsibilities:
Weekly rotational call shifts, typically 8-9 per month; on-call on evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. - Floating Requirements:
Techs are not required to float currently. - Dress Code:
Scrubs are provided by the hospital. - Orientation:
Typically 3 to 5 days of departmental-specific training. - Additional notes:
Mandatory call list utilized when staff cannot fulfill their scheduled call shifts.
