American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility, requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

• Level 1 trauma acute care setting with a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab, separate from IR and EP departments
• 6 procedure suites/labs with an average of 10 to 15 cases per day
• 4x10 hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• On-call requirements on a rotational basis, approximately 8-9 shifts per month
• Call response time of 30 minutes from time of page
• Primary charge nurse coverage from  who takes call but does not routinely complete cases
• No floating required at this time
• Uses EPIC EMR along with PACS and McKesson cardiology systems

• Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience required
• Current ARRT and BLS certification required
• IEMA certification required
• IL license required if applicable, and must be active at time of consideration
• Previous cath lab experience required, pediatric experience preferred but not required
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required
  
  Must be able to scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and perform circulating duties

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating during procedures
• Cardiologists are on call 24/7, 365 days a year
• Holiday coverage is on a rotational basis
• A mandatory call list is utilized when staff cannot fulfill their scheduled call shift
• Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 3 to 5 days
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule for eligibility, though local rates apply for those within 50 miles of the facility
• COVID vaccination is not required for consideration
