Licensed Addiction Recovery & Clinical Counselor
Role Overview
Reporting to the Pathway Counseling Director, you will provide Christ-centered,
clinically informed counseling to residential recovery clients, community clients, couples,
families, and ministry staff. You will play a key role in delivering direct client care and
shaping Pathway’s whole-person approach to restoration.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Clinical Care:
Provide individual and group therapy within our men’s residential
recovery program, as well as outpatient individual, marriage, and family counseling for
community clients (maintaining an average of 24–28 sessions per week). - Assessment & Planning:
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial-spiritual assessments,
establish DSM diagnoses, and create tailored, measurable treatment plans using evidence based clinical interventions integrated with biblical truth. - Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain timely, confidential, and thorough
documentation using Therapy Notes, Mission Tracker, and related systems. - Collaboration:
Partner with pastors, physicians, caseworkers, and internal
multidisciplinary care teams to deliver holistic care. - Program Development:
Contribute to the ongoing growth and refinement of Pathway’s
residential counseling framework alongside ministry leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Faith & Alignment:
Vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and full alignment
with Pathway’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Statement of Faith. - Licensure:
Active Illinois license as an LPC, LCPC, LCSW, or doctoral-level clinician
(PsyD, PhD). - Specialized Training: EMDR trained (or willing to pursue EMDR training).
- Experience:
Proven success in clinical counseling, addiction recovery, and case
management. - Skills:
Strong clinical assessment capabilities, excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, crisis intervention expertise, and proficiency with EHR software.
