Patient Flow Analyst

Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This is an Hourly position.
The Patient Flow Analyst facilitates and coordinates patient flow in collaboration with the registered nurse (RN) through data analysis and informed decision making. In collaboration with leadership, matches patient demand and clinical staffing levels, to expedite the right patient, to the right location, right care team, every time. Analyzes current census and available resources to determine staffing decisions to achieve a balanced schedule through efficient allocation of supplemental staff across the Ministry.
Maintains accurate records of staff work schedules, attendance and time keeping records while managing absences, low activity, and float needs. Utilizes electronic tools to expedite movement of patients through the acute care setting by addressing barriers in order to optimize patient flow and minimize delays. Coordinates patient transfers to ensure efficient placement, throughput and quality care.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
High School Diploma/ GED. - Experience:
2 years of IT, Business, Staffing or Scheduling experience. - 1 year of experience with computer-based programs (spreadsheets, databases, etc).
- Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Excellent customer service phone skills and ability to multi-task. Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Ability to build professional, positive, and collaborative interdisciplinary working relationships with departments and medical center personnel as well as outside agencies.
Ability to demonstrate effective adaptation skills to change in systems, practices, and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience:
Proficiency with timekeeping applications, electronic health record, logistics, and employee scheduling. Previous experience in a Transfer Center.
